German Actress. She was born to actress Lotte Spira and actor Fritz Spira. Her sister was DEFA-Star Steffie Spira. Spira often played happy roles. Cause of her nice voice the adaptation from Silentfilm to Soundfilm was beneficial for her career. She was playing beside Heinz Erhardt and Erik Schumann in -Vater, Mutter und neun Kinder- in 1958. Also beside Curd Jürgens in -Des Teufels General- and Martin Held in -Rosen für den Staatsanwalt-.
Danish-German-Jewish actress. She began acting on stage and in films in the early 1930s, and continued to perform professionally until the 1980s. Transported to Auschwitz during the Second World War, Spira was only released from the camp because of her mother's Danish ancestry.
