CLAUDE was one of the founding fathers of PINE RIDGE BAPTIST CHURCH in Anderson Co. Tenn. He was the son of JOSEPH LEONARD MILLER who was born: Oct. 29th 1885 in North Carolina and died Dec. 9th. 1951 in Lake City, Anderson Co. Tenn. JOSEPH was the son of THOMAS EDWARD MILLER & EMMA C. GREENE MILLER. THOMAS was born: Oct. 21st. 1866 in Patterson, Caldwell, North Carolina and died Oct. 26th. 1941 in Coal Creek Tenn. THOMAS was the son of DAVID A. MILLER & ABIGAIL NELSON MILLER.
DAVID b.9-11-1820 in Watauga County, N.C. and died 9-11-1895 same location. ABIGAIL born & died same location.
b.6-14-1830 & d.3-30-1912


Claude J. Miller, 80, of the Clear Branch community of Lake City, died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at his home.

He is survived by a son, Lester Miller and his wife, Beatrice, of Lake City; three daughters, Marilyn Bean and Shirlene Copeland and her husband, Bill, all of Lake City, and Ailene Phillips and her husband, Lynn, of Powell; a brother, Homer Miller and his wife, Sandy, of Trentwood, Ohio; three sisters, Dorothy Jean Burgin of Lake City, Bonnie Irwin of Knoxville and Wilma Dean Richardson and her husband, Ray, of Lupeer, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, March 12, in the chapel of Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City. The Rev. Clifford Fraker and the Rev. Kenneth Bean will officiate.

A graveside service with full military rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Glenn Foust Cemetery in Lake City.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
