Ezelle Douthit Conaway, age 91, of Palestine, Texas died April 27, 2011 in Palestine. Burial at Roselawn Park is under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine. She was born July 1, 1919 in Palestine to Virgil Link and Mary Edith Miller Douthit. She married Herman Jackson Conaway on September 25, 1937. Mrs. Conaway was a secretary at Anderson County Farm Bureau for 34 years and a devoted member of Swanson Hill Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Mozelle Durrett Fox. She is survived by her sister, Olive Hinson of Palestine; daughter, Venna and husband Gerald Stubbs of Tyler; son, Joe Conaway and wife Donna of Valley Mills; and son, Milton Conaway and wife Betty of Palestine; grandchildren, Cam Davis III and wife Lori of Grapevine, Mark Davis and wife Maria of Palestine, Rusty Conaway of Valley Mills, Julie Lively and husband Jay of Palestine; and ten great grandchildren.
