Eva Grace Cales, Lewis(1911-2009)
Eva was the last surviving daughter of William V. (Billy) Cales and Mary Jane Davies. She was born in Bucoda, WA and died in Aloha, OR.
The family moved to Centralia before Eva was 6 years old and she started grade school there. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1929. In 1937 she married Harold L. Lewis of Tenino, WA. She attended Centralia Business School and subsequently took a job with Washington State and worked at Maple Lane School. She lived in Centralia until her job took her to Olympia. She lived and worked in Olympia for the Washington State Fish & Wildlife until her retirement. She then moved to Seattle and later to the Portland area.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters; Neola Wilburn, Lola Titus and Lorraine Stuart. She is survived by her three children; Gloria Lester of Bellevue, WA, Bill Lewis (Jan) of Bend, OR. and Bob Lewis of Wisconsin. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Vicki Bevan (Michael), Maryland; Brad Lester, Seattle; Sandi Rorick, Hillsboro, OR, and Jani McCord, Portland, OR.
Eva will be cremated and her ashes will be interred with her Mother in Forest Grove Cemetery, Tenino, WA.
