In January of 2021, I received a suggestion that the middle name on this memorial be changed to "Pennick". The suggestion was based on this link. Because sometimes links get removed, I'll spell it out here as https://books.google.com/books?id=LafVAAAAMAAJ&lpg=PA274&ots=s413ccXrkp&dq=robert%20pennick%20baird&pg=PA274#v=onepage&q=robert%20pennick%20baird&f=false This was my reply:
Thanks for your suggestion on Robert P King's memorial. I understand why you suggested "Pennick", because when doing his memorial, I saw the same reference you provided. Ultimately, I chose to go with Pennock for a few reasons-
- The early proprietors of the cemetery where Robert was an officer were linked to Pennocks. It seems the founder George Connell was a state senator whose wife was a daughter of Horatio Pennock.

- He is on about 69 family trees at Ancestry, and while about half of them spell out his middle name in full as Pennock, just two use Pennick.
I'll be glad to note in the text of his memorial that there is a source using "Pennick" , but it does seem to be an aberration.
