Tullio E. Marcangeli Sr., 92, of Dow, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at his home in Dow. The family will welcome friends at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne today from 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in Hartshorne with Steve Mass officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne. Pallbearers include Jerrod Marcangeli, Justin James, Preston James, Zach Johnston, Brent Roach and Glen Davis. Born May 1, 1918, in Alderson, to Dominic and Anna Maria (Cervelli) Marcangeli, he grew up in Dow and graduated from Haileyville High School. He married Lillian Marcella Tucker on March 4, 1947 in Dow. They lived in Dow and celebrated 63 years of marriage in 2010, before she preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2010. He worked at Pete's Place restaurant in Krebs when he was young and later worked at McAlester Monument Company in McAlester. After that he worked as an ironworker at Meeco Marina in McAlester, retiring in 1988. He was also a farmer and loved working in the garden and cutting firewood. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tullio Jr. and Donna Marcangeli, of Dow, George and Scheryl Marcangeli, of McAlester; two daughters and sons-in-law, Myree and Dennis James, of Dow, Anna and Rick Dominic, of Enid; grandchildren, Julie and Brent Roach, Alisha Dodd, April, Karissa, Jerrod and Genia Marcangeli, Justin and Julie James, Preston and Shasti James, Shalyn and Zach Johnston, Tony, Eddy and Adelee Dominic. And, great-grandchildren, Saraya, Taylor and Reese Dodd, Sally, Clayton and Emma Roach. Easten and Caden James, Journi, Justis and Jentry James; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marguerite Marcangeli, of Philadelphia, Miss., Laura McCullar, of Haileyville, Bob and Melia Tucker, of Bache, and nieces, Mary Ross, of Hattiesburg, Miss., Elizabeth Goodwin, of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a brother, Louis Marcangeli; a nephew, John G. Marcangeli, and an uncle, Giovanni Cervelli.
