Mrs. Abbie Kuhn, 78, wife of Daniel Kuhn, Cashtown, died this morning at 12:45 in the Annie M. Warner hospital of a complication of diseases. Ill since February, she had been admitted to the hospital Tuesday and underwent an operation Wednesday for an infected right foot. She was a dressmaker in Cashtown.
Mrs. Kuhn was the daughter of the late Frederick D. and Juliana (Joynes) Smith and was a native of Adams county. Her mother was a daughter of John Joyns, one of the founders of Baltimore. Excepting for four years, when her family lived in Franklin county, the deceased lived her entire life in Adams county. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical-Reformed church, Cashtown, and the Good Times club.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Carl, of Connellsville, and five brothers and sisters; Mrs. Laura Snyder, Steinwehr avenue; Mrs. Fannie Myers, Fayetteville; Mrs. James Bittinger, Hagerstown; Will Smith, Louisville, Ohio, and Joseph Smith, Milledgeville, Illinois. Four grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services from the late home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with further services at the Trinity Evangelical-Reformed church, the Rev. G. Howard Koons, officiating. Interment in Flohr’s cemetery
