Andrew Fredrickson was born in Flaarup Lolland, Denmark, November 15, 1851 [editor: the son of Frederick Anderson and Bertha Hanson]; died June 22, 1917, at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 7 days.
Mr. Fredrickson came to America in 1873 and resided at Sheffield, Ill., where he resided for seven years, when he came to Nebraska, where he resided on a farm near Panama until his death. In 1879 [editor: April 7, 1880 at Bennet, Nebraska according to their Lancaster County, Nebraska marriage license record] he was married to Miss Christina Peterson, to which union six children were born, one of these dying at the age of five years. In 1895 [editor: June 6, 1895 at Lincoln, Nebraska according to their Lancaster County, Nebraska marriage license record] he was married the second time to Miss Christina Loie [editor: daughter of Jorgan Lyee and Katrina Peterson according to their Lancaster County, Nebraska marriage license record], to which union one child was born. He leaves as mourning relatives, his wife, two sons, Fred and Arthur, four daughters, Mrs. Anna Jorgensen, Mrs Bertha Haack, Mrs. Cary Estabrook and Miss Marie Fredrickson; three grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Rasmussen and Mrs. H. P. Knudsen, both of Shieffield, Ill., and Mrs. Anna Nelson of Loretta, Neb. About twenty years ago Mr. Fredrickson united with the Modern Woodman of America, of which he was a member at the time of his death. In early boyhood he was baptized into the Danish Lutheran Church in Denmark.
Funeral services were held at Brown and Doyle's chapel, Lincoln on June 26 and the body was taken to Bennet where a second short service was held, Rev. R. S. Koffroth officiating, previous to interment, which was made at that place.
