Bergit (Betsy) was born June 31, 1848 in Nes Hsllingdal, Norway to Ole Halvordsen Sletten Renslasbratten and Ingeborg Torkilddtr Solheim . There were six children born, one died young and three immigrated to America. Two children stayed in Norway. She emigrated to America in July, 1868, and was married to Knudt Olson Blinsmon in April, 1870 at Elgin, Iowa. They moved to Moody county, South Dakota and homesteaded in 1877.
Her sister is Sigrid # 39681755 and brother is Torkel # 75898024
