ABERCROMBIE, REGINA HELENA
Regina, 72, returned home to her Creator on Friday, December 15, 2000, at her home in San Diego.
A native of Amsterdam, Holland, she was a San Diego resident for the past 25 years and will be remembered for her courageous spirit, generous heart and strength, as she fought her battle with cancer. Her legacy to the world is a simple one "random acts of kindness" garnished with love.
Regina is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Milo Child Abercrombie of San Diego; daughter Clary Lee and her husband Vern Lee of San Diego; daughter Suzanne Abercrombie of Chula Vista; son Lawrence Abercrombie of Newport News, Virginia; grandchildren Angela Lee, Regina Lee, Tiffany Brown and Jessica Abercrombie; and her two sisters Elizabeth Berkhout of Amstelveen, Holland and Miep Berkhout of Oakland, California. She will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 19 at First United Methodist Church, 2111 Camino Del Rio South, San Diego. The family will receive friends following the service.
A private interment for family members will be conducted at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the San Diego Hospice Foundation, 4311 Third Avenue, San Diego, California 92103.
