BARABOO- Roland C. Ziegler, age 70, died on Wednesday, June 15, 1988, at St. Clare Hospital. He was born on January 24, 1918, in the Town of Fairfield, the son of John and Seba (Lusby) Ziegler. He married Helen Kowalke on June 14, 1947. Mr. Ziegler was a lifelong resident of Baraboo and was an Electrician. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, the Baraboo VFW, D.A.V., the American Legion Post, and the 4 E.T. 8. He was also a member of the I.B.E.W. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving as a First Sargeant with the 82nd. Airborne. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven in 1953; his mother, Seba in 1987; and two brothers, Gordon in 1987, and Melvin in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Helen of Baraboo; a sister-in-law Mrs. Maurine Ziegler of Baraboo; two nieces, Mrs. Maria (Dennis) Kluge of Baraboo, and Rhonda Ziegler of Waukesha; and a nephew Jerry Zielger of Sun Prairie. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 1988, at 1:30 PM at St. JOHNS LUTHERAN CHURCH. Pastor Dan Balge will officiate. Interment will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening, June 16, 1988, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the HANSON FUNERAL HOME and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
