The funeral for Joseph M. Ptaschek, 69, 614 Park, will be at 1 pm Friday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Rev. Kenneth Lohrmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. A rosary will be at 7 pm Thursday at the Ryan mortuary, where friends may call.
Mr. Ptaschek died Monday at St. John's hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1906, in Marion county and had lived in Salina since 1957.
He was a retired auto mechanic.
Surviving are the widow, Anna, of the home; 2 daughters, Mrs. Beverly Burton, Kansas City, Kas., and Mrs. JoAnn Overton, Shullsburg, Wise.; 2 brothers, Jim and Nat, both of Ellis; 4 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Schneider, WaKeeney; Mrs. Lillian Gilliam, Mankato; Mrs. Grace Reynesford, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Alice Severson, Colorado, and 5 grandchildren.
