Ora Allgood, 62,
Dies Suddenly
Of Heart Attack
Ora Allgood, 62 year old employee of Pennington Wood Products, died suddenly at his home, Route Six, at 11:20 a.m. Saturday. He had been ill for two weeks, suffering with heart disease. However, his condition did not appear to be serious until shortly before his death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Eleventh Street Pentecostal Church of which he was a member, with Rev. Orville Frame officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Lawrence Brown, Ernest Frye, Logan Howard, Don Reynolds, Wallace Owens. Flower bearers will be Bertha Butcher, Mrs. Eliza Frye, Dortha Frye, and Etta Eller.
Survivors include the wife, Bessie Jane Allgood; a daughter, Lilly Shields of Los Angeles; three sons, Lowell of Los Angeles, Doyle of Detroit, and Robert Lee of Bloomington; two stepchildren Edward Altop and Bertha Brosman, both of Bloomington; three brothers, John, Rufus, and Charles Allgood, all of Bloomington; two sisters, Lizzie Yoder and Eva Chase, both of Bloomington; 16 grandchildren.
The remains have been removed from the Day Funeral Home to the family residence to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Allgood Rites
Are Postponed
Funeral services for Ora Allgood, 62, who died Saturday night at his home, Bloomington Route Six, have been postponed so that his daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Shields, who are enroute from Maywood, California, may attend.
It was first believed that Mrs. Shields would be unable to make the long trip and the hour of the funeral was set for 2 p.m. Wednesday. However, she called Monday night to advise that she and her husband would arrive in Indianapolis, by train, at 2:30 Wednesday.
The burial will be delayed until Friday, because of Thursday being Christmas Day. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Eleventh Street Pentecostal church. Burial will be in Valhalla cemetery.
