Rev. Massena B. Ballou was born at Dana, Mass. 28 November 1800; died in Stoughton in 1890. He was the son of Rev. Hosea Ballou (1771-1852) and Ruth (Washburn) Ballou (1778-1853). He was a settled as a minister in Stoughton 17 April 1831, and resigned 1 April 1853.
