ENID--Jerome Petrik Sr., 80, of Enid, died Monday at the Community Memorial Hospital of cancer.
He was born Sept. 30, 1895 in Tabor, S.D.; a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Petrik. In April of 1911 he moved to the Culbertson area [Montana] with his father and later homesteaded in the Elmdale Community.
He married Joyce Hall [sic] March 1, 1924 in Sidney. They farmed in the Enid Community until October of 1974 when he became ill.
Survivors include the widow; one son, J.T. Petrik of Sidney; two daughters, Mrs. Elinor Lobdell of Shawnee Mission, Kans; Mrs. Lea Klasna of Enid; one brother, John Petrik of Tyndal, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Berna Fichbach and Mrs. Helena Hadstrom both of Billings; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchilcren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Pella Lutheran Church with Pastor Milan Ingman and Pastor Tom Bartholomeh officiating. Burial will be in Sidney Cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
