Genevieve was born in Solvay, NY, but spent most of her young life in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of George and Emma (Rosa) Sullivan. She met and married Robert A. Giacometti in August 1948. They had two children, Gregory Patrick Giacometti (Jan 17, 1950-July 25,2010) and Christine(Giacometti) Faulkner (April 30, 1952). All I can say, as the daughter-in-law is, she was Irish and a firery redhead!
