She was born August 29, 1922, in Pueblo, CO, to Victor and Maria Moreno.
Connie married Frank Almeraz on July 5, 1939, in Brush.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a member of the DOES, auxiliary of Elks Lodge #1143. She enjoyed working in her garden and "bargain" shopping, listening to Mexican music, and was an excellent cook and homemaker.
She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her dogs, Peetie and Princessa as though they were her children.
Survivors include her children, Frances Vasquez and Virginia Rodriguez, both of Greeley, and Martin Almeraz of Brush; one sister, Concha Lopez of Long Beach, CA; one brother, Martin Moreno of Los Angeles, CA; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; an infant daughter, Vivian, and an infant son, Joseph; one sister, Anna Trevino; three brothers, Paul, Joe, and Sam Moreno; one great-great-grandson, Sincere Mendoza; and her parents.
Rosary service will be Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in 340 Stanford Street in Brush.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 8, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church.
Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
