Anton married Mary Satern and brought her to his homesteaded land in 1892. The young couple worked very hard to build a home and community where they gave birth to and raised their six children: Arthur, Chester, Clifford, Albert, Elmer and Mabel. Anton served as Roberts County Sheriff for two terms and also was a State Senator for two terms. Anton and Mary donated land from their farm for the Brandvold Lutheran Church and Cemetery. Anton spent many hours working on the building of the Brandvold Church. Anton's parents were immigrants from Norway--Hans Dahlen and Thora Hysjulien. They settled in Vernon County, WI. One of the streets in Rosholt is named after Anton--"Dahl Avenue" a tribute for his many contributions to the community.
