Emily married Carl K. Bledsoe on November 18, 1945, in Clovis. They moved to Roswell, New Mexico and opened an office supply store. They soon returned to Clovis and remained in the office supply business, eventually purchasing Clovis Office Supply and Equipment which they ran until retirement.
Emily is survived by one brother, Martin Sedlacek, Sr.; one sister, Mary Sedlacek; and one sister-in-law, Virginia Sedlacek, all of Cudahy, Wisconsin. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carl; her parents, and one brother.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Carlos Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens next to her husband in Clovis.
