Coretta Bembry, one of the sweetest, kindest, real Southern "ladies" of Hawkinsville, bade us adieu this morning, April 2, 2011, aged 91 years.

Ms. Bembry loved entertaining her family and friends with her tea parties. She was also an avid animal lover, especially dogs and cats. Ms. Bembry was preceded in death by her parents Miles Lawson and Mary Elizabeth Wynne Bembry; one brother, Miles W. Bembry.

Survivors include first cousins Virginia Wynne Hallet, Margaret M. Sease, Nell Wynne Nobles, Evelyn Driggars Hays, Haywood Hughes Wynne, Carswell Cain Wynne, Wynella Wynne Martin, Margie Wynne Elkin and Karen Nobles Thomas. Ms. Bembry is also survived by special friends Sheri Williams, Gladys McCormick, Pearline Blackshear and Henry West.

Pallbearers are Ray Mixon, Alton Dykes, Dan Williams, Carswell Cain Wynne, Gary Rogers and Neil Arde Martin.
