Gladys "Penny" Adele Bain passed away on March 27, 2011, in Lake Havasu City at age 91. She was born on Jan. 16, 1920, in Alberta, Canada, to Ray and Fannie (Kennedy) Watson.
Penny worked as a hospital billing clerk for 17 years, she moved to Lake Havasu 37 years ago from Albany, N.Y. She is a member of the Elkettes and loved making crafts, growing flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
Penny is survived by her loving granddaughters, Nicole Foster of Lake Havasu City and Danielle Jones of Largo, Fla.; grandson Nathan Benard of Firestone, Colo.; great grandchildren, Ian, Carly, Liliana and Mia; and step-great grandchildren Dakota and Kailie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth James Bain, and daughter, Diane Foster.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with the Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. Internment will be at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
