Chris was born June 12, 1961 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Orange, Orange County, California, USA. His parents were Philip Leon Glendon Shaw (1913-1985) and Mary Frances Garvin Shaw (Cherie J.) , b. 1935. He graduated from Riverside Community College in Riverside, Riverside County, California. On February 15, 2003, he married Crystal C. This was in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. They had no children. Chris was a brilliant computer genius, innovator, inventor and diagnostician. Chris also was a talented chef, and made the best chili ever. He particularly enjoyed cooking with antique (or replications of antique) cooking techniques and cookware (such as roasting on a spit in the fireplace according to old style methods). Chris loved his family and was a devoted son and husband. Chris took pride in keeping his word and in always helping those in need. He passed away suddenly on June 19, 2007 at his and Crystal's residence in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA.
