Mrs. Alice Brown- 76 years old, mother of Herman L. Brown, prominent Greenville businessman, died very suddenly at 5:45 pm Thursday at her son's home on North Broadway from the effects of a heart attack. She had been in poor health for the last two months. The deceased, widow of the late Lloyd S. Brown, whose death occurred in 1928, had spent her entire married life in this city (Greenville). She leaves one other son, Chalmer, of Toronto, Canada, and three grandchildren. Other immediate survivors include two brothers, M.L. Burgess, of Indianapolis, and Otto Burgess, of Redkey, Ind. A daugther, Bess, died in 1907.
