Nell H. Smith, 62, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away peacefully in her home on March 30, 2011 in Muskogee. She was born in Muskogee on July 8, 1948 to Wesley Hiram Lightle and Bonnie Marie (Jones) Lightle. Nell graduated from Central High School in 1966. She received her license in Cosmetology from Virgil's Beauty College and worked as a Beautician in various beauty shops. She also decorated cakes. Nell loved spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. She looked forward to Fridays to get her hair fixed and her nails done so she could take them shopping. Nell enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling in her R.V., playing Bingo, and watching Nascar. Thanks to a family friend, she had the opportunity to attend a Nascar race in Texas. She recently traveled to Yellowstone National Park, Mt. Rushmore and Old Faithful. Nell was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Pleas and Fronia Jones, and Hattie M. Lightle; and one infant brother, Wesley Robert Lightle. She is survived by her husband, Troy F. Smith; children, Amanda and Jason Alexander of Muskogee and Andrea and Erik Guadarrama of Muskogee; grandchildren; Tyler and Brent Pippin of Muskogee, and Erik and Alex Guadarrama of Muskogee; one sister, Charlotte Dunn and husband George of Muskogee; best friend, Lisa Lane; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Oxtoby, Ronald Jones, Jason Alexander, Alan Jones, Bobby Jones, Jr. and Wesley Dunn. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
