Mr Arba R Bolin fell at Deer Hollow mines Friday, March 24, landing on his head. He sustained a fractured skull, and died Monday night following the accident.
Mr Bolin was a farmer and miner residing in the Winesap neighborhood. Following first aid treatment at the office of Dr E W Mitchell, Mr Bolin was taken to a hospital in Knoxville where he died. Mrs Bolin accompanied the ambulance and became ill while there; it was necessary for her to be brought back in the ambulance on Tuesday.
Mr Bolin is survived by his wife; daughters Mrs Lillian Sapp, Clifty; Mrs Vergie Scarbrough, Dayton, Oh; Mrs Celesia Hyder, Mrs Dorothy Neely, Mrs Irene Neely and Venia Bolin, Clifty; sons Dallas, Clifty; Pvt Earl Bolin, Camp Shelby, Miss.
Funeral services will be at Thomas Springs Church Thursday with burial in the church cemetery.
