Muriel B. Bennett
Muriel B. Bennett, 96, of Bloomington, died Saturday at her residence.
Born November 19, 1903, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Samuel and Louise (Carter) Pennington.
She held a bachelors and masters degree from Indiana University. She was a retired school teacher with the Monroe County Community School Corporation.
She was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of West Second Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen L. Bennett, in 1978, four brothers, Gilbert Pennington, Jerry Pennington, Fred (Bud) Pennington and Desmond Pennington; and three sisters, Pearl Jones, Leafa Chitwood and Annie Pennington.
Services will be 10am today at Day Mortuary with Brother Gary Fiscus officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 9am until services today at the funeral home.
