Edith Howard Alderman, 89, died late Tuesday night at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The Bulloch County native had lived in Statesboro all of her life and was a member of the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church and the Cora Williams Circle.
Survivors include a stepson, William "Bill" Alderman, Statesboro; a brother, Jerry B. Howard, Statesboro; two sisters, Della H. Salter, Savannah, and Marie H. Strickland, Fayetteville, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Smith-Tillman Mortuary chapel with Elder John Shelton Mikell officiating. Burial will be at East Side Cemetery.
