Mary was a homemaker and the business office manager for the Calhoun Care Center in Hardin, Illinois. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Meppen and belonged to the Altar Society.
At the time of her death at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mary was 54 years, 10 months and 25 days old.
She was survived by her husband; 6 sons and 4 daughters-in-law; 9 grandchildren; 1 sister (Living) Bick; and 1 brother, (Living) Hillen.
In addition to her mother and father, Mary was preceded in death by an infant son, Jason Baalman; and 1 brother, David Hillen.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. on the evening of 15 Dec 2002 at the Hanks-Gubser Funeral Home in Hardin. A prayer service took place there that evening. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. the following morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Meppen.
Mary was buried next to her son, Jason, who passed away in 1970.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the church, the church cemetery or to the charity of one's choice.
Children: 7 sons.
