THOMPSON
Nels T. Thompson, 88, resident of Manitowoc for 70 years, died at his home, 834 North 5th street, at 5 o'clock this morning.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock from the Shimick and Schwartz funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Born in Kragaro, Norway, December 26, 1848, Mr. Nelson came to America and settled in Manitowoc when he was 19 years of age. He was married to Miss Mathilde Thompson in Chicago, December 14, 1878. For a number of years Mr. Thompson was employed on the lakes and at the O? Torrison company. He retired 11 years ago. He was a member of the St. Paul M. E. Church.
Survivors besides the widow include two daughters, Mrs. Cora Knutzen of Milwaukee and Mrs. Albert Clusen of Two Rivers; two sons, Harvey and Meade, both of Manitowoc; and ten grandchildren. The body may be viewed at the funeral home from 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon until the time of services Monday.
