George A. Baker, the well known postal clerk, died at his home at Grantsdale yesterday from cancer of the throat. Mr. Baker was one of the best known men in Western Montana. For about a dozen years he ran on the main line or branch lines of the Northern Pacific as a postal clerk, and his face was familiar to all persons along his routes. He enjoyed an extensive acquaintance in Missoula and Ravalli counties and had numerous friends, all of whom will mourn his death. He leaves a wife and son.
