Lincoln Hamlin Davis was born, probably in Elk River Township of Sherburne Co., in March 1861 (as per the 1900 Census), the son of Joseph and Emeline (Spencer) Davis, who came from Maine about 1851 (as per p. 529, vol. I of the History of Wright County, MN). He married Alice Marie Perry, the daughter of William Perry, July 25, 1882 in Anoka. They were the parents of Lura Mae, Mattie, Bessie, Earle, and Irma Davis. William Perry is buried nearby as are the Hamlets, who are in-laws of Lincoln Davis. (His wife's sister, Emma Lucy Perry, married Milton T. Hamlet.)
