Anna was the daughter of Charles Grohman and Bertha Litche Grohman. They were German immigrants who migrated to New York about 1885 and then moved to Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., New Jersey about 1891.
Anna married Norwood Stanley Anderson about 1911. The couple had five children: Verga Bertha (nicknamed Vergie) in 1912, Norwood P. in 1914, Radie G. in 1916, Karl Edward in 1921 and Marie about 1931.
Anna and Norwood lived on a dairy farm in Alexandria Twp., Hunterdon Co., New Jersey between Everittstown and Pittstown immediately behind the (old) Alexandria Township School.

CARTERET — Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Everittstown for Mrs. Norwood Anderson, formerly of Carteret.
Mrs. Anderson was the mother of Norwood Anderson of Carteret, and a sister of Arthur and Kurt Grohmann, also of this borough.
Mrs. Anderson died Wednesday a her home in Pittstown.
Other survivors are her husband, a daughter, Marie, and a son, Carl, all of Pittstown; two sisters, Mrs. Peter Ohlott of Woodbridge and Mrs. Edward Baker, of Avenel, and another daughter, Mrs. Frances Read, of Lambertville.
