FRANK L. BENNER

Frank L. Benner, 67, a lifelonge resident of this town committed suicide by hanging. His body was found in a small room adjoining his barber shop, Thursday morning by James Waltz, who has undertaking parlors next door. Mr. Waltz became worried about Mr. Benner when he did not come to business as usual on Thursday morning and went to his home on Jefferson street. Not finding him there he returned to the barber shop, entered it and discovered the body. Dr. Joseph E. Odlorne of Whitefield, County Medical Examiner, was called. The cause is attributed to ill health. Mr. Benner's wife died in March, 1937 and since that time he has lived alone. He had been in business for about fifty years. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Moody, of Nobleboro, and three grandchildren. Funeral services was conducted Saturday afternoon at the home with Rev. Oscar G. Barnard, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Rural cemetery.
