NEGLEY, Ohio — Rosemary E. Hays, 80, of Negley, Ohio, formerly of Cowden, passed away at 3:29 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Boardman Campus, Youngstown, Ohio, where she had been a patient for the past three weeks.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Cowden, with Don "Satch" Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hays was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Shelby County, the daughter of the late Theodore and Leora Yonker Trueblood. She was a member of the United Methodist CYoungstownhurch.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Hays, whom she married July 22, 1950; seven children, David (Connie) Hays of Missouri, Debbie (Bill) Beck of Cowden, Ted (Dawn) Hays of Waynesboro, Va., Floyd (Robin) Hays of Negley Ohio, Patty (Tim) Malone of Mount Zion, Ruth Ann (Phil) Miller of Cowden and Karen (Jim) Raze of Springfield, Va.; sister, Betty McLain of Decatur; 26 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris; one sister; and one brother.
