Billie Ray Earle Smith, 74, of Lake Charles died in a Lake Charles, Louisiana, hospital. Mrs. Smith was a native of Rockdale and had lived in Grand Lake, Louisiana most of her life before moving to Lake Charles five years ago. She was a teacher's aide at Grand Lake High School and was a member of the Homemaker's Extension Club. Mrs. Smith was also a pink lady at Christus St. Patrick's Hospital in Lake Charles. She was a member of First Christian Church in Lake Charles. Funeral services were held Monday, October 31, 2005 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Charles with Pastor Mona Lisa Garrett officiating.
