Clyde Hall

Clyde Hall, 93, longtime Honey Grove resident passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Honey Grove Nursing Home in Honey Grove, Texas.

Services will be at 2:00P.M. Sat., March 19, 2011 at McKenzie United Methodist Church in Honey Grove with Rev. Vivian Crowson officiating. Pallbearers will be Ken C. Hall, Jon Hall, Rickey Hall, Mike Wilson, Charlie Fajardo and Chad Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Blair, Randy Hall, Ronnie Hall, Billy Bob Stephens and Mark Johnson. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 to 2P.M. prior to the service.

Grover Clyde Hall was born March 10, 1918 in the Noble Community near Roxton, TX. to Grover Cleveland Hall and Nora Viola Trotter Hall. He married Vera Mae King June 25, 1939 in Durant, OK. He was a member of McKenzie United Methodist Church in Honey Grove where he was very active in church activities. After he retired from farming he owned and operated Western Auto Store in Honey Grove from 1971 to 1989. He was recognized as an excellent inventor and builder of mechanical equipment. He volunteered for the Honey Grove Snap Center where his wife was manager for 20 years. He and his wife were both awarded Honey Grove Citizen of the Year.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Billy Ben Hall, Jack Hall and Keith Hall.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 71 years, Vera Mae of the home; son, King Hall of Honey Grove; daughter, Linda Jean Hall Paraschak and husband, Harry of Fremont, CA; son, Toby Hall and wife, Jo of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Ken and Kristine Hall; Susan and Charlie Fajardo; Jon and Hayley Hall; Annetta and Mike Wilson; Rick and Jamie Hall; Tressa and Chad Martin; Chuck and Carla Lyles. great grandchildren, Connor, Collin and Callum Hall; Kylee and Kameron Kittrell; Mark and Marisa Fajardo; Will and Marie Hall; Waverly Wilson; Ashley and Cory Larsen; Jordan Hall and Alex Lyles. sister, Joanne Dufilho of Horseshoe, NC; sisters in law, Sara Hall and Imogene Hall both of Arlington, TX.
