Mrs. Jane M. Basicker, 87, 2205 New York Ave., died at her residence Tuesday morning after a five-year illness. Born in Madison County, she lived in Harrison Township in Delaware County for 40 years before moving to Muncie 30 years ago.
She had been employed for 13 years prior to her retirement at the YMCA. Mrs. Basicker was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving is her husband, Calvin; a daughter, Mrs. Halcie Bullock, Muncie; a son, Floyd Basicker, Gaston; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Parson Mortuary. Rev. Milton Huxman will officiate. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the services Thursday.
