Marjorie Edith Matney Stiltner, 94, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011. She was born on March 3, 1917, the daughter of the late John W. and Lydia Deskins Matney. Also preceding her in death are her brothers; Stewart J. Matney, Eugene H. Matney, John Matney, E.H. (Doc) Matney and Warren (Pete) Matney; sisters, Rachel M. Baker, Daisy Matney and Louise Matney. Surviving are her beloved husband of 61 years, Adrian H. (George) Stiltner; a sister Josephine S. Matney, of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was a retired school teacher for Roanoke County Schools, a member of Salem Church of Christ, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and served in the United States Army as a WAC. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Clinch Valley Memorial, Richlands. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
