Jesse Myles Compton, 18, of Chattanooga, TN died on Wednesday, March 9, 2011.
Myles was an Honor Student at East Hamilton High School. He had finished his coursework in December and planned to graduate with his class in May. Myles was athletic and excelled at gymnastics. He was loved by everyone who knew him and his smile brightened the room. He had no enemies.
His grandfathers, Jesse Ervin Compton and James Charles Donnelly preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving family, Cheryl and Jesse Compton; brother, Cameron James Compton; grandmothers, Rachel Compton, Marjorie Donnelly; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 in the chapel of the funeral home with his uncle, Rev. Alex Compton officiating.
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Keith Compton, Matthew Compton, Quentin Jones, Cameron Compton, Gabriel Bowen and Kevin West will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. today, March 12, 2011, and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN.
