Mabel A. Greek, 80, of 308 W. Division St., Union city, Ind., died early Saturday morning at Union City Memorial Hopsital following an extended illness.

Mrs. Greek was born July 11, 1912, in Randolph county, Ind., daughter of Roy and Lydia (Gaddis) Shreeve. Also deceased are her husband, Leroy, who died in November 1972; one daughter; and a sister, Mrs. Ronald (Geraldine) Sipe.

Mrs. Greek, who retired in 1977 as head cook at the Union City High School following 20 years of service, was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church of Union City, Order of Eastern Star adn the ADO sorority.

Surviving are one daughter, Marilyn Greek of Portland, Ind,; one son, Donald of Union City, Ind.; a brother, Everette Shreeve of Union City, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Forest (Grace) Moore of Portland and Mrs. Carter (June) Yost of Winchester, Ind.; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law.

The funeral is set for 2 p.m. (Indiana time) Tuesday in the east chapel of the Fraze, Brooks & Somerville Funeral Home, Union City, with the Rev. Ron Bowman officiating. Burial will be in the Union City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. (Indiana time) today at the funeral home.
