INJURIES TWO WEEKS AGO CAUSE DEATH OF YOUTH
Arthur Luedtke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Luedtke of Maribel died at the Holy family hospital early this morning following an operation which he underwent Tuesday. Two weeks ago Luedtke was injured in a fall from a bridge near Maribel, suffering a rupture. His injuries did not appear to be very serious at the time and he was up and about as usual until Monday when his condition became alarming and on Tuesday was taken to the hospital where he underwent an operation, death following early this morning. The funeral will be held Sunday with service at the home of the parents at one o'clock and at the Lutheran Church at Maribel, Rev. Klonka officiating at two o'clock.
Arthur Luedtke was born in Manitowoc County and on January 1 celebrated his twenty-third birthday anniversary. He is an ex-service man and saw overseas service. He was employed by the Chicago & North Western as a bridge carpenter. Last September he was married to Miss Emma Hardrath, the widow who with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Luedtke, six brothers, Erwin, Edmond, Raymond, Leroy, Clarence and Marvin and one sister, Frieda, all of Maribel, survive to mourn his death.
