Norma J. Walters, age 75 years, 7 months, and 9 days, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. James Keith Hampton and Bro. Harvey Logan officiating. Burial followed in the T. Chitwood Cemetery of Pine Knot.

She was born July 24, 1935 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to Lonnie Baltimore and Nancy Gilreath Baltimore. Norma loved working with crafts and was well-known in the community for her work. Among her hobbies were sewing, hunting ginseng and mushrooms, making molasses, going to auctions and yard sales, studying various herbs and reading. She especially loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Herman Walters, a daughter, Teresa Gail Walters, two brothers, Rodney Baltimore and Bobby Joe Baltimore and an infant sister, Myrtle Baltimore.

Survivors include a son, Chris Walters and his wife, Tammy, of Lexington, Kentucky, three daughters, Vickie Clark and her husband, David, of Springfield, Ohio, Jackie Knapp and her husband, Al, of Somerset, Kentucky, and Susan Dixon and her husband, Robbie, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, a special foster daughter, Amber Lee Cook, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four sisters, Anna Kidd and Patsy Creekmore, both of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Judy Clark-McCabe of Tempe, Michigan, and Gail Wingo of Tampa, Florida.
