Hatton was the son of John Thomas Harris & Virginia Maupin Miller.

He married Laura Reeves. Hatton was a US Naval surgeon.

SURGEON HARRIS DEAD.
He Was One of the Oldest Surgeons in the Navy.

Pensacola, May 19.- Surgeon H N T Harris, United States navy, died at his quarters at the Pensacola navy yard today, after a short illness. The body will be shipped to his former home in Virginia, Sunday, and services will be conducted tonight at the yard.

Surgeon Harris who was one of the oldest surgeons in the navy, had only recently returned from a long service at sea, and had been in charge of the local yard as medical adviser for only about a year. The body will be accompanied home by an escort.
