Allen Adam Albert, son of Claude Nester Albert and Rebecca Martha (Fehr) Albert, was born in Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Allen's father, Claude, was the long-time proprietor of a stationery store in Pine Grove. His grandfather, Dr. J.V. Albert, was a respected Schuylkill County physician.
Allen was the long-time proprietor of Albert's Clothing in Pine Grove, which he co-owned and operated with his wife, Nona M. (Snyder) Albert. Nona was the oldest daughter of John Hartranft Snyder, one of the co-founders of the Lavelle Telephone and Telegraph Company, and Minnie Rebecka (Strohecker) Snyder. For many years, the Snyder family operated a dry goods store from the ground floor of their home on Main Street in Lavelle.
Allen and Nona married later in life, and had no children of their own, but were active with their church throughout their long lives.
They were interred in the Albert family section of Saint John's Lutheran Cemetery in Pine Grove.
