DEATH CLAIMS AGED RESIDENT SATURDAY

The tender cord that has held the life of Miss Jennie Blissett the past several weeks was severed last Saturday morning at 6 o'clock and entered into that eternal rest on the peaceful shore, after an illness extending through several weeks from heart affliction.

Deceased was born east of Carrollton and has lived her entire life near this place. At the time of her death she was a resident of the Big Creek section, residing three miles west of Carrolton. She was a daughter of the late J.M. Blissett and had passed her three score years and ten allotment.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Effie Tennison and Mrs. J.W. Campbell, of near Carrollton, and one brother, E.L. Blissett, of Pickensville.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. P.R. Curry, of Carrolton, paying a beautiful tribute to the deceased, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in the cemetery at Big Creek Baptist church.
