Debra was a longtime resident of Monroe, WA, where she was very involved in Peace Lutheran Church teaching Sunday school. Debra's passion in life was loving her family and friends from a boundless well of compassion that resided within her.
Debra was born to John and Ellen Floren in Seattle, WA, where she spent her childhood years. She married her high school sweetheart Charles Burgy.
Debra is survived by her husband Charles; four daughters; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ellen and Papa Andy Thorkildsen.
We all miss Debra more than we can imagine, but know she is now safe in the arms of the Lord.
A celebration of her life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 202 Dickinson, Monroe, WA, on July 14, 2001 at 10:00am.
Debra's family suggest memorial gifts be given to any charitable organization that benefits the children.
