OBITUARY
STAFFORD - Ralph Bryan Garey, 99, died Jan. 13, 1996 at Stafford District Hospital.
He was born October 8, 1896, at Stafford in the Leesburg area, the son of John Dayton and Minnie Williams Garey. A lifetime Stafford resident, he was a farmer.
He was a member of Stafford Nazarene Church and was a past member of the Stafford Cemetery board of directors and the board of directors of Stafford Co-op. He was a World War I veteran, serving as a sergeant for the U.S. Army in Germany.
On Jan, 28, 1920 he married Emma Page Hawver at Stafford. She died Nov. 23, 1972. On June 5, 1975, he married Eva Mae Irby at Wichita. She died Jan. 8, 1978. On April 13, 1979, he married Elsie May Ricketts Dunn at Stafford. She died Feb. 1, 1992.
Suvivors include: a daughter-in-law, Gay Garey, Minneapolis, Minn., two stepsons, Roy and Ralph Dunn, both of Hutchinson; two stepdaughters, Bonnie Scoggins, Norman, Okla., and Wanda Volker, Stafford; and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Minnis Chapel, Stafford, with the Rev. Robert Hester presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Stafford Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Leisure Homestead, Stafford District Hospital or to Stafford Nazarene Church, all in care of the funeral chapel.
