Mrs. Hurst died Wednesday in Golden, Colo., where she had resided for the past year. She was born in Kosciusko County and came to Muncie when she was 16.
At one time she was employed in the office at Kitselman Brothers, now Indiana Steel and Wire, and had also worked for her father in the grocery business in Avondale. She was a member of Avondale United Methodist Church, and formerly a member of the Social Order of Beauceant and Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 104.
Surviving are her grandson, and four great-grandsons. Her husband, Goley R. Hurst, died in 1979.
Order of Eastern Star 104 will conduct memorial services at the mortuary at 7 p.m. Friday.
