Mrs. Baldwin was born Aug. 20, 1914, in San Augustine County, the daughter of Cora (Smith) and Jesse Gentry. She died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002 in a Lufkin hospital. Mrs. Baldwin was a homemaker and a wife, mother and grandmother. She was retired from the food service department of the Lufkin ISD. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and had resided in Lufkin and Angelina County most of her life.
Survivors: son, Steve W. Elliott of Lufkin, Floyd Dean Elliott of Muskogee, Okla.; sisters, Lottie Dodson of Elmer, La., Grace Brock of Hudson and Alta L. Klein of Lufkin; brother. L. C. Gentry of Russellville, Ark.; five grandchildren;numerous great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
