C.C. Pike Dies Suddenly Mon.
Funeral services were held at the Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for Columbus Campbell Pike, 75, who died suddenly at his home in Carthage, about midnight Monday, presumably from a heart attack A retired farmer, Mr. Pike was born in Panola County near Gary, to Charles Pike, a native of Nashville, Tenn., and Josephine Graves Pike, native of Panola County, on Dec. 20, 1883. Officiating ministers at the service were the Rev. Eugene Smith, pastor of the church, the Rev. Floyd Hoover, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church, Carthage, and the Rev. Lynn McBryde. Burial was in the Mt. Bethel Cemetery. He is survived by one brother, E.E. Pike of Shreveport.
